Upon assessing the current educational system in Vlora, I noticed that there were no opportunities for student teachers currently enrolled in a university to practice teaching prior to entering in the workforce. Another assessment, identified a plethora of students ranging from elementary to secondary who all needed instructional time outside of school in various contents. After the assessment, I created a program which connected student teachers with students who were invested in their own learning.

Due to working with the Directorate of Education, I had direct access to all of the schools and could address both needs simultaneously. The free after-school tutoring program was designed and created, sometimes visiting multiple schools in one day. The results were incredible as students received critical instruction to enhance their progress in school, student teachers were able to practice pedagogies in a safe environment and schools began to hire the teachers who participated in the program.
