American Corner Projects

In collaboration with the American Embassy, an area in public libraries was established to promote English books and American culture. As a volunteer, I worked with the director of the American Corner on various projects. Some projects included obtaining English magazines, working with Darien Book Aid to get donated literature for students and student teachers, various art programs, a location for tutoring with MentorMeCrazy, interviews of myself as a representative American with schools and visits from Embassy officials, such as Ambassador Arvizu.
